Your photos are so good! You really have a knack for capturing the moment! Keep snapping and sending. You make me want to go there.
I now appreciate photographers of people, because it isn't easy to be unobtrusive! Sometimes I feel I am intruding, even when they don't notice me. It's strange to look at someone in a photograph AFTER the photographer "intruded." We no longer feel that we are intruding to look at people there, in the photograph. Imagine Bennett, the most reticent guy in some ways, taking all those photos of people! Like the orthodox priest in Greece!
When I saw this post last night, Ruth, I almost commented then but didn't want to be the first (again!). So now I come back and see this back-n-forth between you and Don. Awww. How sweet.
What first captured my attention was the pair of pairs! Two photos of the same two people. I didn't "get it" at first but when I got it, I smiled BIG. Just like you to do that!
Yes, imagine Bennett....
Thanks for noticing, Ginnie. The last two photos are an Eiffel Tower pair, but not of the same two people. Oh well. How do you feel when you photograph people you don't know?
Beautiful pictures Ruth, very unusual angles. Is the first picture taken on the banks of river siene ?
Thanks, Rauf. Yes, along the Seine. There are nice embankments where you can walk along, below the street. Paris is kept very clean. These street cleaners use the water from the Seine, and every morning they clean out the streets. The sewer system below Paris is quite something apparently, something they are proud of. I believe you can even visit.
